Christianity has in Slovakia very old roots. First churches in Slovakia dates back to 9th century. Slovakia is also famous thanks to endless beautiful wooden churches what are listed in UNESCO World Heritage.

  • Day 1, Arrival in Bratislava
    Arrival at Vienna airport. Transfer to Bratislava. En route stop in pilgrimage place Marianka, the oldest pilgrimage site of Slovakia, visit of the church of the Nativity of the Virgin Mary from 1380 year. Check in at the hotel and walking tour in historical city center of Bratislava. Entrance to St. Matrin’s Cathedral, where were coronated 18 Hungarian kings and queens. Visit of Blue Church of Bratislava too. Last stop at calvary of Bratislava, which was built after the battle of Vienna between Otaman Empire and Austro-Hungarian Empire. Visit of church of Virgin Mary of the snow. Overnight in Bratislava
  • Day 2, Bratislava - Sastin - Skalica - Bratislava
    Buffet breakfast at the hotel. Visit of one of the oldest building of Slovakia- the Devin Castle, where worked and lived St. Cyril & Method, who brought Christianity to Slovakia and who created first Slavic script- Hlaholika. Continue to pilgrimage place Sastin, and entrance to cathedral of Our Lady of Seven Sorrows. The Lady of Seven Sorrows is also patron of Slovakia. Continue to Skalica, a city located on frontier with Czech Republic, stroll in historical city center of Skalica, entrance to City House what was designed by the most famous Slovakian architect Dusan Jurkovic. Entrance to Franciscan church of Our Lady of Seven Sorrows and Rotunda of St. Michael Archangel. Return back to Bratislava. Overnight in Bratislava.
  • Day 3, Bratislava - Trnava - Trencin - Zilina
    Buffet breakfast at the hotel. Departure to Trnava a residence of archbishop, the city is also well know under the nicknames ”Small Rome” or “Slovakian Rome” thanks to a great amount of sacral buildings. Entrance to St. Nicolas Basilica and to St. John Baptist Cathedral. Short stroll in historical city center along the Holy Trinity Square. Continue to pilgrimage site Skalka near Trencin where saints Andrej & Svorad Benedikt lived. Continue to a peak Budkov, the new pilgrimage site in Slovakia built just in 2012. Continue to Marian pilgrimage site Rajecka Lesna, entrance to basilica of the Nativity of the Virgin Mary and visit of the biggest wooden crèche in Slovakia which shows habits and handcrafts of Slovakia. Transfer to Zilina. Overnight in Zilina.
  • Day 4, Zilina - Terchova - Low Tatras
    Buffet breakfast at the hotel, visit of historical center of Zilina with Cathedral of Holy Trinity and Virgen Mary square. Continue to Trnove, entrance to wooden church of St. Joseph from 15th century. Continue to Terchova, the most famous Slovakian village thanks to unique nature and landscape and folklore tradtions. Terchova’s music is part of UNESCO WORLD HERITAGE. Entrance to church of St. Cyril & Method with small wooden crèche. Short stroll in Vratna Valley. Afterwards entrance to wooden church in Lestiny and continue to Vlkolinec (UNESCO), the traditional Slovakian village. Stop at church of Saint Cross, wooden church which was built without using any nail. Arrival at Low Tatras. Overnigh in Low Tatras region.
  • Day 5, Low Tatras - High Tatras
    Buffet breakfast at the hotel, entrance to Demanovska Cave of Liberty. Departure towards High Tatras, stroll along the Strbske Pleso glaciar lake also the highest village of Slovakia. Visit of mountains villages Tatranska Lomnica & Stary Smokovec. Transfer to medieval city Kezmarok with basilica Saint Cross and possible entrance to wooden Lutheran church as well as city castle. Continue to another medieval city Levoca.
  • Day 6, High Tatras - Levoca - Presov - Kosice
    Buffet breakfast at the hotel and stroll along historical city center of Levoca with basilica of St. Jacob with unique altar of Maestro Paul from Levoca (UNESCO). Afterwards visit of pilgrimage place peak of Virgen Maria. Continue to Bardejov (UNESCO) with beautiful square with St. Egidius cathedral. Continue to Hervartov & Trocany, visit of wooden churches (UNESCO). En route to Kosice stop in Presov with entrance to co-catedral of St. Nicolas. Arrival in Kosice. Overnight in Kosice.
  • Day 7, Kosice - Spiss - Banska Bystrica
    Buffet breakfast at the hotel. Walking tour in historical city center of Kosice with entrance to cathedral of St. Elisabeth. Continue to Zehra with church of Holly Spirit from 12. century with unique frescos. Continue to Slovak Vatican- Spisska Kapitula Abbey with cathedral of St. Martin (UNESCO). Afterwards possible entrance to Spiss Castle (UNESCO), the biggest castle in Central Europe. Last stop in Stare Hory with basilica of the Visitation of the Blessed Virgin Mary. Arrival in Banska Bystrica, overnight.
  • Day 8, Banska Bystrica - Nitra - Vienna Airport
    Buffet breakfast at the hotel. Short stroll in historical city center of Banska Bystrica with cathedral of St. Francis. Continue to Hornsek (UNESCO), where is located Lutheran wooden church which was built without using any nail. Continue to Nitra, the oldest Slovakian city where was located the first church in Slovakia. Visit of historical city center with Nitra Castle with cathedral of St. Emeram. Departure towards Vienna airport.
