Discover Slovakia the most ecological way there is — by train. Nine days and eight nights, self-guided, from Bratislava through Žilina and Liptov to the High Tatras, Košice and Zvolen — one morning train at a time, with the rest of each day free. Every hotel is chosen for how close it sits to the station. Valid 2 January to 23 December 2027.

    Arrival in Bratislava

    Arrival at Vienna airport and private transfer to your hotel in Bratislava. The evening is free — optionally a traditional dinner or a Bratislava by night tour. Overnight in Bratislava.

    Train to Žilina

    Buffet breakfast at the hotel. Morning train north to Žilina, capital of the Považie region. Free afternoon in the old town; a city tour with a local guide can be added on request. Overnight in Žilina.

    Liptovský Mikuláš

    Buffet breakfast at the hotel. Morning train into Liptov. Free time in the town, with the Demänová valley and its Cave of Liberty close by. Overnight in Liptovský Mikuláš.

    Poprad and Spišská Sobota

    Buffet breakfast at the hotel. Morning train to Poprad, below the High Tatras. Free time in the town and a walk out to the medieval square of Spišská Sobota. First of two nights in Poprad.

    The High Tatras

    Buffet breakfast at the hotel. The 72-hour Tatra Railways ticket included in the package covers Štrbské Pleso, Starý Smokovec and Tatranská Lomnica. The Tatra funicular and cable cars can be added on request. Second night in Poprad.

    Train to Košice

    Buffet breakfast at the hotel. Morning train east to Košice. St Elisabeth’s Cathedral and the State Theatre stand on the main street; a guided walk can be added on request. Overnight in Košice.

    Zvolen

    Buffet breakfast at the hotel. Morning train to Zvolen and its castle. Overnight in Zvolen.

  8. 8

    Back to Bratislava

    Buffet breakfast at the hotel. Morning train to Bratislava and a free afternoon — optionally one of the city’s galleries. Overnight in Bratislava.

    Departure

    Buffet breakfast at the hotel, then private transfer to Vienna airport.
