  2. 2

Day 2 — Bratislava & the Small Carpathian Wine Route

Buffet breakfast at the hotel. Discover the historical city centre of one of the youngest capitals of the European Union — Bratislava, with its rich Austro-Hungarian history. The walking tour of the city centre takes in all the main monuments: the Primatial Palace, the Old Town Hall, the statues of the city, St. Martin’s Cathedral, Bratislava’s Opera, the Blue Church and many more.

Continue by bus to the Slavin Monument, from where there is a beautiful view over Bratislava, then transfer to the monumental Bratislava Castle and visit the baroque gardens. Departure to the Small Carpathian Wine Route, one of the eight wine-growing regions of Slovakia, with entrance to the fairy-tale Red Stone Castle and time to explore the centres of the wine towns of Modra and Pezinok. Wine tasting in a stylish local wine cellar accompanied by a traditional wine dinner, and an evening return to Bratislava.

  3. 3

Day 3 — Day trip to Budapest

Begin your day with a picturesque drive to Budapest, the enchanting Hungarian capital celebrated for its breathtaking architecture, relaxing thermal baths and world-class cuisine. Once the largest Slovak city of the Austro-Hungarian Empire, Budapest today stands as a vibrant blend of history and modern charm.

Your journey starts on the lively Pest side, where you will admire the majestic House of Parliament, the stately Royal Palace, the grand St. Stephen’s Basilica and the iconic Heroes’ Square. Crossing the Danube via the elegant Elizabeth Bridge, you arrive in the romantic Buda Hills.

Here, stroll through the historic Castle Hill, marvel at the 13th-century Matthias Coronation Church with its exquisite Gothic details, and climb to the Fisherman’s Bastion for sweeping, picture-perfect views across the city.

Before returning to Bratislava, take time to soak in the atmosphere of Budapest’s vibrant city centre — a perfect finale to your day.

  4. 4

Day 4 — Nitra, Hronsky Benadik & Banska Stiavnica

Continue to the oldest Slovakian abbey, Hronsky Benadik, and enter the gothic basilica of St. Benedict from the 10th century, home to the unique relic of the blood of Jesus Christ, given to the Benedictine monks by the Hungarian King Matthias Corvinus.

Continue to a hidden gem of Slovakia, the former royal mining city of Banska Stiavnica, also known as the city of love — the most beautiful love poem in Slovak, Marina, was written here.
