Malá Fatra & Žilina — folklore, mountains and our northern home

Malá Fatra rises dramatically from the Váh valley, with the Vrátna cable car, the rugged peaks of Rozsutec and the rich folklore of Terchová — birthplace of Jánošík, Slovakia’s legendary folk hero. A paradise for hiking and trekking lovers, the region combines dramatic mountain landscapes with living traditions.

Žilina is a compact, walkable city with a charming arcaded historic centre and E-TRAVEL.SK’s northern home since 1993. Our local team in Varín is based at the foot of the mountains, giving us first-hand knowledge and strong local connections for programmes throughout the region.
