The tour

What this tour is

The walking tour of the historic centre, finishing in a wine cellar in the old town with an English-speaking professional sommelier. Three samples of local fine wine are included; five can be arranged instead. Slovakia has eight wine regions and the one that starts half an hour from the city is the reason this tasting is worth doing in Bratislava rather than somewhere else.

The sommelier is part of the product, not an afterthought — the clients get the explanation as well as the glass, which is what separates this from a drink after a walk. The tour runs Tuesday to Saturday, all year.

If your clients want the vineyards themselves rather than a cellar in town, the Small Carpathian wine tour takes the whole afternoon. The same tasting runs for individual travellers under our retail brand as the wine tasting with a sommelier.
