The tour

What this tour is

Bratislava has two halves that do not fit into one walk: the compact old town, and the districts above it where the government quarter, the castle and the Slavín memorial sit. This tour does both — three quarters of an hour by car for the second, then two and a quarter hours on foot for the first.

The drive takes in the Presidential Palace and the Palisády district, a hillside of villas built in the functionalist style at the start of the twentieth century, a photo stop at Bratislava Castle, and the Slavín memorial, from which the whole city is laid out below. The walking half then covers the old town properly, ending in the centre.

An air-conditioned vehicle and an English-speaking driver are included. If the clients also want Devín, the five-hour version adds the castle at the confluence. The same route runs for individual travellers under our retail brand as the Bratislava grand city tour.
