The tour

What this tour is

This is the Small Carpathian route run a different way. Twenty-four hours before departure the clients are sent an audio guide link by email or WhatsApp; they download it before they go and it then works offline, at every stop, in their own time. A driver takes them, but there is no live guide in the car.

That suits a particular kind of client — independent travellers, repeat visitors, people who would rather wander a castle at their own pace than follow someone. It is also the version to quote when the party does not share a language with any available guide. The entrance to Červený Kameň is included in this one, which the guided version quotes separately.

The route is the same: Červený Kameň above Častá, the majolica pottery in Modra, an audio-guided walk through Pezinok, and three wines with the winemaker in Svätý Jur on the way back. Departure is 11:45 from June to September and at weekends in May, and 12:00 from October to May. The same tour runs for individual travellers under our retail brand as the Small Carpathian wine tour.
