The tour

What this tour is

Budapest and Bratislava are two and a half hours apart, and for clients spending several days in Hungary a day in a different country is an easy addition to the programme. The two cities have more in common than the distance suggests: Hungarian kings and queens were crowned in both, and the Hungarian Parliament sat in Bratislava for over two centuries.

The day has two parts. An hour of panorama by car covers the parts of Bratislava that are spread out — the castle above the Danube, the government quarter, the view from above the city. Then two hours on foot through the old town with a licensed guide: St Martin’s Cathedral, the Old Town Hall, the Main Square and the lesser-known corners that give the place its character.

After that the clients take an hour of free time or a two-course Slovak lunch, and then the drive back. Hotel pick-up and drop-off in Budapest, an air-conditioned vehicle and the guide are included. The same day runs for individual travellers under our retail brand as the Budapest to Bratislava trip.
