Where to go

From the Danube river to the mountains

A tour group on Bratislava's Main Square, with watercolour paintings for sale on easels and the tower of the Old Town Hall behind.
Capital

Bratislava

Bratislava is the only capital city bordering two countries, and everything a group needs is within a 20-minute walk: the coronation Old Town, where Hungarian kings were crowned, the four-towered castle overlooking the Danube, St. Michael’s Gate and the ruins of Devín Castle at the confluence of the Danube and Morava rivers.

For operators, it is one of the easiest cities in Central Europe to run: coaches can park along the Danube embankment, our licensed guides can cover the city on foot, and the Small Carpathian wine region begins just 20 minutes beyond the city. This makes Bratislava easy to combine with wine experiences and an overnight stay.
