From 13.01 – 30.01.2022 will take place European Championship in handball in Slovakia & Hungary. In Slovakia it will be the biggest sport event of the year.
The tournament will host 6 cities, Veszprem, Szeged, Debrecen & Budapest in Hungary and Kosice & Bratislava in Slovakia. The teams who participate in championship will be known at the beginning of the May 2021, upon the results of qualification. At the moment there are 4 fixed teams in tournament, Slovakia & Hungary as hosts, and Spain with Croatia as European champion and vice-champion from the latest European Championship.
Group stage will start on 13.01 and finish on 19.01.2022. The teams will be divided into 6 groups, in each group contains 4 teams. Slovakia will host 12 teams, including Slovakia as host team. Bratislava will host two groups, Kosice one group.
From 20.01 – 26.01.22 will take place quarterfinal groups in Bratislava and Budapest. The semifinal & final matches will host Budapest.
