The excursion

What this day is

The long version of the Slovak wine route, running from Bratislava’s own Ráča district all the way up to Trnava and back down through the vineyards. It is the fullest day out of the capital that still stays within half an hour of it.

Trnava has the densest concentration of churches in the country, which is why it is called the Little Rome of Slovakia. Dolná Krupá is a rose-growing village with a Beethoven connection and a mead producer. Červený Kameň is one of the best-preserved castles in Slovakia, and Pezinok is where the wine is made.

A shorter version runs for individual travellers under our retail brand, Bratislava City Tours, as the day trip to Trnava.
